- Punta Sam ferry terminal, Punta Sam, Quintana Roo, Mexico If you are going to get on your own, you need to be at Marina Punta Sam at 8:00 am. To go to Punta Sam you can take a bus from the city center (look for Route 8) or a taxi from the Hotel Zone. Punta Sam is the starting point for the boats that go to Whale Shar Encounter, Contoy and Holbox.
