About us

Far away from the hustle of every day life is a peaceful retreat located on Soliman Bay between Akumal and Tulum. With white sand, blue green water, and palm trees you are as far from the maddening crowd as you can get. This vacation spot has it all. Cozy hammocks great for catching up on your reading, fabulous water adventures just outside your door, (snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, you name it) or delve into a past that is thousands of years old, with the local Mayan ruins. Completed in December, 2000, Tropical Evergreens' casa grande and casita are decorated with exquisite local art and pottery. The native plants offer privacy from the neighbors as well as great cover for birds. There is nothing like waking up in the morning amidst the lush greenery of the jungle, with the quiet murmur of the ocean in the background.

Incredible Christmas Vacation for Family of 10

We rented both the Casa Grande and Casita for a week over Christmas. We were 8 adults and 2 kids. It was an incredible vacation. Being on right on the beach was fantastic for everyone, but especially for the kids who need a lot of gear and it was nice not to have to pack up and head out to the beach then pack up and come back. We were just constantly going between the house and the beautiful beach. The houses were perfect, the water was warm, the staff was wonderful. We hired another person, Flor, to cook two dinners for us. She came to the house and made delicious spreads according to our requests, then she did the dishes. There were two separate occasions in which other people on vacation who were also staying on the same bay were jealous of our place. One was a family next door to us and one was a guy who had tried to book our place but we had gotten it first so he stayed at a nearby house. This was actually my second stay at the Tropical Evergreens and I hope to go back again in the future. …

Feels like home

Spent Christmas here with my family. Loved it. It’s spacious, well decorated, Fully equipped , beautiful view !! We used the kayaks and went snorkling. Saw sea turtles and beautiful fish. You can cook or go for "take out nearby. The bay is safe in many ways. Security to acess the house road and also the bay is safe for smimming because the reef protects the area from strong waves and the water is clear and not to deep.

Hidden Paradise

Our stay at Tropical Evergreens was amazing. Upon arrival we were greeted by the caretakers and they were super helpful. Tropical Evergreens is very private, clean and safe. We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Soliman Bay. I lost track of how many hours I sat in our private beach chairs and listened to the waves. Snorkeling is literally steps away, you can snorkel in waist deep water or go out into deeper water. There are several small reefs close to shore that I absolutely love. I swam with turtles, even saw a large Eagle Ray. Tulum is just a short drive down 307, you can grab groceries or eat at some divine restaurants. If you’re looking for a private, safe, & peaceful place that is as close to Heaven as you can get, this is it! Thank you Peg & staff for everything! We will be back! …

Perfect and ideal place for a relaxing and fun getaway with or without children!

My husband, 8 year old son, and I rented the Casita for a week and I couldn’t be happier! It was an ideal setting with everything you could need including very comfortable beds! The grounds were a tropical paradise and very well kept, the beach was beautiful and also very well taken care of. The Casita included flippers, beach towels, life vests, kayaks, hammocks, and all kitchen utensils and electrics you would need (toaster, coffee grinder, blender, shot glasses, margarita glasses, etc.). All you really need to pack is a swimsuit and snorkel and mask. I highly recommend Tropical Evergreens over staying in any sort of hotel. It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Great for families with children, or even a couple looking for privacy. The snorkeling was fantastic with turtles, rays, barracudas, and more just yards away in the bay! …
