About us

The Pitted Date is one of a kind, started here in Playa del Carmen and hopes to expand around the world one day. We opened our doors in Dec. 2015 and now we have expanded to another larger location in 2017. We continually grow and improve our menu to offer our clients the most exciting vegan flavours to keep nutrient balanced and your palette more than satisfied. We have a vegan egg that is something you have never tried before because it’s our own recipe. The menu is geared towards hearty breakfast and lunch Vegan burritos, omelettes, croissant sandwiches, banana sushi, panini’s, buddha bowls, healthy salads and hearty soups. Best ever coffees made with fresh almond milk. We have tea’s, juices, frappaccinos, matcha and 7 different kinds of smoothies are on the menu as well. The Pitted Date is a must on your visit to Playa del Carmen , whether you are plant based or not, the food pleases everyone. Come in and see for yourself !!

Excellent per usual!

Had breakfast here this am. I had the mushroom bomblette and my gf had the açaí bowl. We also had a cappuccino, coffee, and a smoothie. Everything was amazing(per usual)! The portions are very large, fresh, and tasty! The staff is very polite and attentive. We will be back again as this is one of our favorite breakfast places in playa.

Fantastic Vegan Food

This was our most visited restaurant in Playa del Carmen. We love when we can close our eyes and order anything off the menu. Absolutely fantastic vegan food. Highlights were the juices, bagelwich, breakfast burrito, and carrot cake. Our only wish: that it was open a bit later : )

Delicious Vegan Chocolate Cake

We were staying at a nearby resort and stopped by for some dessert. I have a dairy and egg allergy so there was no choices for me at our resort. We ordered chocolate cake and an iced coffee. It was delicious. Very rich and decadent.

Great option for vegans

I love this restaurant. I visited it again a few days ago. I can tell the quality and taste are still there. Awesome food and many options for vegans.

Yummy vegan food in PDC

We ate at the Pitted date early in the day and loved it! They had the best decaf latte, pecan cake and our sandwiches were fresh, tasty and healthy. Our whole family loved the food and the lady who was our waitress was the sweetest kindest soul. Thank you for offering great tasting and healthy vegan foods. Can’t wait to be back!
