Fantastic Meal!

We found this restaurant thanks to other TripAdvisor reviewers. It did not disappoint! We both had the same dish (fish prepared in butter & garlic) and it was amazing!! Fresh fish that day was grouper. Dish was served with al dente vegetable mix and was also very good as was our green salad. Everything paired perfectly with a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc they had on their menu.

I’m a snob. This was amazing!

Everything was just great. The fish was fresh and delicious. The ceviche was incredible. Drinks were awesome. Really, make the trip. Don’t get the BLT or the burger :p

Consistently Great!

I will not give 5 stars unless I’ve had great food, service and overall experience on just one visit. Consistency is important in a restaurant and that’s what this small restaurant in the Pueblo. I will admit I didn’t expect much on my first visit and was so surprised I had to make sure the experience was repeatable. The service is heads above the more popular restaurants in and around Akumal. The food is superior than most.

First Of Many Visits To This Fine Restaurant

We’ve been coming to Akumal for 3 years and had never tried Tequilaville, but that’s all changed now. They have a full bar and lots of good beers that are all priced reasonably. The staff is very friendly and I believe family related. It was suggested that we try the lightly battered fish which I did and it was excellent. It came with perfectly cooked vegetables, rice, and black beans. Let me say it again all was cooked just right. My wife had the garlic and butter shrimp and that two was excellent also with those perfectly cooked vegetables and rice. This was a great find and a delightful place to eat.

Fried Fish & Butter w/Garlic Fish - Both were wonderful - about $7.50 U.S. with Grilled Veggies

We have eaten here before, but we had never had the fresh fish - tonight we had the fresh fish and my husband and I decided to try it two ways - I ordered the "breaded" aka as friend, and he ordered the garlic and butter fish. Both were soooo good! Portion size was large - I brought over half of mine home to have tomorrow for lunch. The grilled veggies were yummy! Cauliflower, carrots and brocolli - I could have had an entire plate full of just the grilled veggies. Price was so reasonable. about $7.50 U.S. - wow!!! We will be back - within the next week - and will probably order the fish again! If you do visit, bring cash (pesos) as the restaurant does not accept credit cards.

5th Visit to Tequilaville.

We were able to visit Tequilaville during our one week holiday in December 2019. Once again the food was awesome and the beer super cold! The coconut shrimp is to die for, as well as the burger. Gilly collects toys for the kids in the Akumal area and we were fortunate enough to bring some toys this visit. We hope the kids enjoy the toys! We will be back in January 2020, and plan to stop at Tequilaville once again.
