Best tequila shop in Zihuan
Benjamin steered us in the right direction. We found a couple tequilas based on what we liked, tasted them and sure enough they were exactly what we wanted. Did I mention they have cigars! They also have a great selection of cigars and once again Benjamin set me up with the perfect one. I am always looking for tequila shirts when I’m in Mexico and they have that as well. Definitely going back because we already drank one and need another.

Excellent hands-on lesson about tequilas
My husband and I knew very little about tequila before our hour long personal lesson with Benjamin. He explained HOW you drink it, it’s origin, and no, that does not mean as a quick shot with salt and a lime wedge! With all the tastings, and the lesson, it cost somewhere about $400 MP or 20 USD pp, but it was well worth it! I think we sampled 10 different tequilas! There are so many craft tequilas in this shop, you will not find Patron or Don Julio here.

Knowledgeable and so helpful
We went in to learn more about the local tequilas and differences. He took the time to walk us through the differences in how they are made, tasting our way to the perfect ones to take home. Highly recommend this stop!

Excellent Education and Selection
If you know nothing about tequila or mezcal, but want to learn, or if you like or love both, then this is the place for you! I absolutely wish we had a branch of this store in Patzcuaro, where I live. You’ll find all the hard-to-find brands of tequila here and I positively recommend doing the tequila (or mezcal) tasting. Ben, the owner, is wonderful at explaining why there are differences in color, aroma, and taste and will zero in on which tequila is most likely best for you based on your comments during the tasting.

Authentic and quality tequila!
Very knowledgeable staff. Thoroughly explained everything about mezcal. Let us try several different types and were not pushing us to buy a bottle. Would recommend to anyone interested in mezcal, tequila or cigars.
