Good food at a reasonable price

I ate here a few times while in Mexico. Typical but excellent Mexican food. Nuevo Progreso is one of the most american Mexican cities you will ever find. One of the safest cities in northeast mexico.

Delicious Outside Eatery

We found this little restaurant off a side street in Nuevo Progreso on the right as you’re walking toward the United States. It was delicious! My friend and I split the lonches and some tacos. I had never had lonches before, but I will definitely be back next time I’m in Nuevo Progreso and order more! The staff was very friendly and even accommodating of my allergy. Plus, the bill was very cheap and we even received soup included with our order of lonches.

Wonderful Food, Inexpensive, A Lot of Locals

We walked down restaurant row on Sonora off Avenue Benito Juarez in Nuevo Progreso and Benny was so friendly, we decided to eat here. It was a great decision! We tried both the tacos and lonches, and they were amazing. Authentic and full of flavor, and they were inexpensive as well. This is not a spot that caters to tourists. There were some other tourists eating here, but largely it was locals stopping in for a quick lunch. The seating is all outside, but is covered. You can’t go wrong at Taqueria Bennys!
