Great food with a great guide results in a great experience!

Our guide, Sylvia, really knows what she’s doing. She likes the food and she likes knows the owners of the places we stopped at. She’s talked to the owners so she knows about the origins of the place, where they get some of the key ingredients, what’s in the sauces, etc and can explain all that to you with enthusiasm. It was a great time and we’re planning another tour with this company later in our stay.

Local and Delicious

Favorite experience so far in Puerto Vallarta! Loved everything we sampled, and seemed like the other people did too. The whole night was well organized, each stop thought through, and it was the perfect amount of food (enough that you feel full and satisfied, not so much that you stop appreciating it). We had a small group too (4 people), so it didn’t feel like we were disrupting the locals eating at the same places. Our tour guide Silvia was AMAZING and clearly loves what she is presenting. She was very friendly and gave us great background info on the restaurants and descriptions of the food and how to eat it. She even was kind enough to ask for cilantro-less tacos for me even though I know that’s sacrilege. We’ll be coming back to do another food tour with this company before we leave!

Taco tour

Wonderful food with a 50/50 mix of sit down to street food cart places. All very good. Walking tour that wasn’t challenging and distances were short. Fun tour with very good food. Tour guide was Victor and he was helpful, knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend

Delicious and Beyond Fun

Second time we have taken this tour given we wanted to enjoy with friends who were coming to PV for the first time . Sylvia the tour guide was exceptional. Knowledgeable and so much fun. All the food stops (taco stands and small restaurants) were super clean and provided exceptional food. Tacos mahi mahi tacos, meat with beans and cheese, beef checks, smoked marlin, pastor mouth watering. Marlin dip yummy and to top it all off churros and homemade ice cream. Appreciate that a mini van was used to transport us between neighbourhoods.

Do this on your first day!

As a chef I will tell you Manuel knows his stuff!!! I made an itinerary of all the places I wanted to try while in Puerto Vallarta. I didn’t just use Google, tripadvisor, and yelp. I read Blogs, watched YouTube videos, and followed Instagram as well. I peiced together a lot of food carts, and hole in the wall diners that aren’t even on social media. When I travel I’m most interested in food and culture. I got to experience a lot of both on this tour. We hit 3 of my top 10 places in this tour. The tour packet describes a lot of restaurants and food carts ( half of which were on my list). Manuel not only described what we were eating, and the best way to dress each option. He gave us a rundown of the rest of the menu should we decide to return. He also gave us family history’s of the owners of the establishments. He narrorated the walking portion and pointed out historical markers, famous buildings, and answered our questions with detail. He made some great suggestions of food options that aren’t part of the tour. He was personable, knowledgeable, and kind. For anyone that might be worried about a language barrier, his English was more clear that many Americans. If you want great and affordable dining experiences while in PV do this first!

Delicious and Fun!

We really enjoyed everything about this tour. Our guide, Al, was so nice and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. My favorites were the tacos pastor, tostadas, churros,...okay, it’s hard to pick. It was all great! Loved that we had a small group - just 3 couples that night. We loved walking through the streets and getting a close up look of the authentic Puerto Vallarta with the help of a guide. We even went by Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor’s home. I’d heard lots of people talk about that, but didn’t know where it was. Was pleasantly surprised to pass right by it on the tour. The chocolate shop was divine. This tour was one of our favorite things we did in PV. I highly recommend it!

The best way to learn the ropes in PV!

A group of us traveled to PV over Thanksgiving and opted to do this tour on our first night. As a walking tour, it was a great way for us to get the lay of the land and what you get for you money in unbelievable. We went to 10 spots and had some of the best street tacos in our lives, plus coffee and chocolate, and churros!! It was the best introduction to PV we could have hoped for. Our guide was Joanne, and she was just incredible! We even had one our team who is a slightly pickier eater and she was super accommodating. We had so much fun with her and she was super informative of all the different landmarks and history of PV as well. I really cannot recommend this tour enough.

Food, Culture, and More

We had such a fun time on this tour with Silvia! You can tell she enjoys sharing her knowledge with you about the people, food, and culture. All the food was wonderful and it was a great way to get to know different parts of the city as well. Everything from the first mahi taco, which was super crispy but still very light, to the volcano, chocolate, and al pastor was just fantastic. Thank you Silvia for a fun adventure and answering all of our questions!
