Privilege Experience Isla Mujeres Tour

We booked this trip last minute and it blew my low expectations out of the water. The pickup and drop off went smoothly. The boat crew was friendly and very quick to bring drinks and snacks. Enough time on Isla Mujeres to explore a bit. And the beach lunch was really good! I wish there was a little more time for snorkeling but the spot was very busy with other tours.

I was on the Privileged Experience Isla Mujeres on Salome’ with Jorge and his team. They were the best. I’ve been on 10+ catamaran trips in my life and this was at or near the top. We started off snorkeling and Jorge was able to take all 20+ of us over the reef and to the underwater statues. We had some rain the night before so the wildlife wasn’t crazy but we did get to see a lot more at the statues. After that they took us to a beach/pool club where we had a terrific lunch. All the drinks were included at the club and on the boat. They had Don Julio flying and not a drink was empty. The 2 hours on Isla Mujeres was awesome. Jorge hooked us up with a golf cart for two hours where we then drove down to Punta Sur. I’d definitely recommend heading down there but you’ll likely need 1:30 to safely get down and back. Overall Jorge was a champ. Salome was probably the nicest boat in their fleet but the others looked nice as well. Definitely do the Privileged experience as the number on our boat was a lot less (per their plan) than the others. If you want service and quality, stick with Jorge!

Only giving a 3 because the snorkeling was cancelled and the boat was not big enough for the number of people. I specifically search for something that was supposed to be 20 and under people and somehow we ended up with over 30 people. The crew was super nice and the activities were cool, certainly a long day through. They did have a special birthday thing for the people celebrating their birthdays which was super sweet. Alex was really nice and tried to liven everyone up but there were some grumpy people.

This was the first time I have taken a trip with Cancun Sailing, although I have previously done many catamaran trips in Cancun. I have been doing an Isla Mujeres "booze cruise" annually since 2005, and it is typically the high point of my Cancun vacations.
We did the "Full Experience" Isla Mujeres Catamaran. You can expect a day of fun in the sun, snorkeling, and beer or mixed drinks if you choose. We took a slow sail in aqua Caribbean waters, followed by a box lunch and shopping on the island. Then more sun and drinking on the return trip. The box lunch was not all that great, but we chose that instead of the buffet on the island because in years past, members of my group have gotten sick from eating food or drinking on Isla Mujeres.
I highly recommend Cancun Sailing if you are looking for a diversion from the usual Cancun activities.
