Xochilmilco etc

What a fantastic tour! Our guide Ramon was wonderful, as he was so well versed in the history and culture of all the places we visited. The tour itself touches on Spanish, Aztec and pre-Colombian history and combines this with great exposure to the art of Kahlo and Rivera. Highly recommended!

Disappointment in Guide

My trip to Mexico City with your tour guide was a disaster from the beginning. Roberto “Bob” the tour guide was 30 minutes late. Our group of 7 adults had paid for a private tour . After visiting Xochimilco our group traveled to the Frida Kahlo Museum, Bob the tour guide had to beg and plead to let our group in as the museum was closing? What? We paid in advance and we may not get in? this was frustrating, next we went to Diego Rivera museum and dropped off, literally dropped off, As we tried to enter, the staff informed us usually the tour guide has the tickets and accompanies the group Bob was nowhere to be found, seven upset and disappointed adults were left abandoned in the courtyard. Eventually our driver was located and was able to give our group access to the museum. Coyoacan the tour states admission? We drove around in circles in the city, what was the point? Bob stated the tour was over and returning us to our drop off location. What happened to UNAM? Bob said we saw it,” remember in the morning he pointed it out” pointed it out from the freeway! What? The tour was for exploring the university by foot to view the mosaic murals.
This tour was a Big mistake that caused grief and frustration to our entire group. Bob was no tour guide, he left us abandoned, and had no historical data or facts for us. Your tour site was a real letdown. We would have been better off hiring our own driver. Because that’s what Bob was, he simply accompanied the driver and was No Tour Guide.

Unforgettable and funny tour!

It was a great tour! Despite of rainy weather our tour guys Kevin and Diana managed to make it unforgettable! We highly recommend this tour for everyone who is looking for some education and fun. Both tour guides speak both Spanish and English fluently, so everybody felt comfortable and relaxed. They were amazing, very knowledgeable and funny! Diana is a sweet heart! Thanks Amigo Tours!

Excellent tour with Ramon

We had a wonderful private tour with Ramon and his driver. They picked us up on time at 9.00 am in front of our Airbnb and drove to Xochimilco where we were the first one to embark one of those great and colorful boats. Did about 45 minutes ride through the canals and even opted to eat a corn on the grill on the way. Got a small brak to explore, then we went to university of Mexico to see wonderful buildings, then we went to Diego Riviera amazing museum where you can discover archeological treasures, then we went through the street of Cayohate and went to the mercado to eatthe most amazing toastadas with Ramon...6 tostadas and two naturals were 10 bucks including a small tips. Then we walked through the streets again to stop for a local espresso and a filled with chocolate and Dulce de leche churros. Then we walked to Frida Kahlo to explore her house and amazing works.
There is a lot of driving as the traffic in Mexico City is really awful but we spent that time listening Ramon’s wonderful stories about Mexico and the life of Diego and Frida.
A really wonderful tour with a very very knowledgeable guide, we strongly recommend and woorth every pennies we spent

Summer 2021

This was a fantastic tour and one I highly recommend. Our guide was very knowledgeable and organized. My favorite part was visiting the Frida Kahlo museum, but my partner contends that Xochimilco was the best part because he was able to steer the boat.

Fantastic! Well planned, safe and fun!

Ramon was AMAZING! His extensive knowledge of history, culture, mythology and all things Mexico made our tours wonderful. We did a day trip to Pyramid of the Sun and then a half day trip to the museum, Tillman and downtown. It was so easy And safe. I have had tours all over the world and Ramon was one of the top tour guides I have ever traveled with. I highly encourage you to use this company. Private comfy clean cars- well planned days- safety first!

Wonderful tour

We loved this tour and our guide, Ramon, made it more special with his extensive knowledge of all things Mexico.
Our trip was on a weekday which meant Xochimilco was quiet, we loved it as you could wander and enjoy some of the views and wildlife on the canal. The boat ride on weekends gets wild with the canals packed with boats, vendors and mariachis.
The Frida Kahlo museum, Olympic stadium, university murals and Diego Rivera’s museum were interesting as well
