Best. Chicken. Ever.

This place is a little outdoor stand off a dirt lot on the outer edges of Todos Santos proper - it’s a bit hard to find unless you know what you’re looking for (next to Sinaloense taco restaurant). They used to have a location in Pescadero (where I stayed for a month) that doesn’t appear to be open. They sell grilled chicken - that’s it. I don’t know what these roadside pollo asado stands marinate their chickens in but HOLY SHI*T this grilled chicken is delicious. I don’t even LIKE roast or BBQ chicken all that much and yet the roadside chicken I ate down in Baja made me obessed. Chiqui’s was the best of the lot. Super cheap - it’s about $6-8 USD for an entire chicken, and it comes with tortillas, macaroni salad, and salsas (a whole chicken and fixins’ would be 4-6+ meals), and they also sell chickens by the quarter/half, etc... I don’t even like cold pasta salad and yet the food offered up by this pollo stand is amazing. I highly recommend.

My Favorite Chickie!

Once you taste these chickens straight off the grill you’ll crave them again and again. Best grilled chicken anywhere, and you can get a whole, half or quarter portion. They include a generous pile of tortillas, macaroni salad, and pickled onions...the way the locals like to eat. For 120 pesos, a whole chicken can feed you for days. Don’t let the funky location fool you....it is so worth getting past that. They even have delivery service! For meat lovers, there’s also grilled carne, which you can also buy in bulk to take home.

The Best!!

We spent 3 days in Todos Santos and came here twice. I’ve been home for 5 days and I’m still craving the chicken from Pollos Asados Chiqui!! You get the juiciest, tastiest chicken ever and it comes with tortillas, pickled onions, slivered lettuce, peppers, salsa and even mac and cheese!

Great chicken asada at this outdoor lunch spot

This place is open from maybe 11am until 5pm-ish on most days of the week. The only thing on the menu is chicken asada (think BBQ chicken without the sauce...) and it’s grubbin’! Nothing fancy here, just great food for lunch or a mid-afternoon snack at a great price. At the edge of "downtown" in a vacant lot.
