The Pasteleria Madrid is the place to go for a wide variety of pastries, donuts and cakes typically Mexican. They also have an extensive variety of breakfast sandwiches and dishes. If you don’t see what you want on the menu just tell them what you want and they will gladly make it up for you. In the two sections next to the bakery you have an excellent selection of typical Mexican dishes for lunch or dinner of which I can tell you very little since I did not partake but prices were very reasonable and basing myself on the large number of locals eating there it must be pretty good.

If you are budget conscious.....you will find your dinner here for a fraction of a cost you pay in restaurants. Tostadas cost $22 pesos and were absolutely yummy.

Visited almost every night
We stayed across the street at the Hampton Inn, so we ended coming here just about every night for some sweets. Everything is fresh and tasted great. They also have food too but we just came for the bakery.

Weekend Pastel Azteca!
I used to live a few blocks from this wonderful, traditional pasteleria. They have so many different things! Only on weekends they have the best Pastel Azteca (like a Mexican Lasagne). Wonderful if they don't run out! :)

Meals, snacks, tacos, tostadas, bakery
Consists of 4 sections offering full meals (paella, tortas, etc), taco ’stand’, tostada ’stand’ and bakery area. Recommend the tacos and tostadas, and bakery goods. Did not try any of the full meals. Most of the bakery goods seem tasty but the conchas are better at ideal. They do offer cold selection (e.g., leche, aquas, cajeta) that is not offered by Ideal.
