Good Mexican/fusion food

We started out with excellent taco negros. Then we had a variety of dishes including tuna and duck tacos. I much preferred the tuna but others liked the duck. We ended with a crispy churro.

My favorite restaurant in Tijuana

We live in San Diego and we cross the border just to go for dinner to Oryx. Everything about it is amazing. The food, the drinks, the service - all excellent. There is also a speakeasy bar that opens at 7:00pm - we love to have a drink there before dinner. The restaurant itself is creative - it looks like an art gallery. You get so much for your money there - definitely worth the detour!

I want to try the entire menu

The food is so good I didn’t want to leave the table. Seriously, I’m not a fan of corn soup, and then I tried it there. It’s so good it’s insane. The ceviche, the bone marrow, and the churros are a must. To top it all, cocktails are formidable, I finally had a wonderful Grand Mai Tai worth a second round. This place is the kind of restaurant you fly to eat at.

Best restaurant in Tijuana

Excellent food, excellent service, you can eat lamb, bone marrow, sea food, delicious cauliflower, duck nachos, modérate prices. Great drinks from the house, its more a friends restaurant-bar. You can also go to the bar nordico bar hidden behind of kithchen best drinks ever but very very expensive. I really recommend this place, just dont eat “the tortas”.

Original Food, Grate taste, Grate drinks

Try the Pork "Lechon Confitado" might want to share so you can also try some of the original starters. Mixology at the bar is very good you might want to try Some local Beer like "Aguamala" or Local Craft Spirits like "Enmienda18", or some Mezcal.

First time here, and will definitely return!

I think the best description for this restaurant will be that of an upscale gastropub. Everything was. They have valet parking, although we found a place on the street about 100 meters from the door. On entering, we were promptly greeted and seated by the hostess. The waitstaff is great. They seemingly have that innate ability to know what you want or need just before you realize to yourself. Quick, knowledgeable, unobtrusive, etc. Our server made some great suggestions, and easily explained some of the items on the Spanish-language for those of us that only speak English. The food was great, ...the entire experience was great! The kitchen is glassed in on oe side for those that want to see it. A very busy place. The four of us ate and drank what we wanted, and the bottom line was US$75. I marked this restaurant as cheap eats, out of comparison with local San Diego prices for similar foods.

Urban Restaurant with Baja Style

This restaurant by great young chef Russo provides an urban style restaurant that provides a great location for couples and friends. The menu provides a good selection of representative Baja Mexican cuisine from tacos, seafood and steak. Being not too hungry, we ordered two appetizers, the grilled spicy octopus and the cauliflower in cheese sauce. Both were very tasty. We also tried the Mula Fronteriza (Tequila version of a Moscow Mule) that was worth trying. There is a large selection of craft beers and local wines. The service was good all night. The decor is urban as described with open face brick walls and metal siding. The exterior is very interesting with a backlit landscape of oryxes across the front facade. As though a gallery setting, there was a large selection of paintings by Antonio Proa, a Baja painter with a very unique style of painting. This restaurant is big favorite among locals, not only to eat but to spend some quality time with friends.
