Nice, upscale wine bar in the heart of Ensenada
We stopped in after noticing the sign in the window which read "wine smoothies". Now that’s interesting. The location is the official store and tasting room for the local winery, Bodegas San Rafael. It’s located in between Hussong’s and Papas and Beer, which is slightly amusing given the rowdiness of these two famous bars. The Wine Bar is classy, elegant and is a nice contrast to the general area. They also serve regional cheeses, tapas and desserts. After speaking with the hostess, she indicated they had just opened in May. It’s a lovely store and I would definitely come back and spend a few hours tasting their wines and sampling tapas.
