Great lunch, very friendly staff

We had a great lunch at Nelhua. Since we were new in Mexico we appreciated the help from the friendly staff, he was explaining all dishes to us and we were even allowed to try the sauce before ordering our courses. We would come again!

One of the best restaurants in Puebla!

To all visitors and Poblanos: this is one of the best restaurants in Puebla. The food is very delicious, beautiful presentation, great service, acceptable prices and very nice staff. This restaurant has it all: breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails. They even have their own coffee bar, which is definitely worth trying. We ordered many things, but the one thing that truely stands out was their Mole Poblano. Hands down the best Mole I’ve ever tasted. It’s one of those Moles that is constantly boiling, exploiting and improving its flavor day by day. It tasted so good, so Poblano, and strangely enough with a hint of Indian spices. The restaurant is beautifully designed and very big. When we dined there, unfortunately the restaurant was empty. But better for us, because the staff provided us with great service, and constant attention. When you are in the center of this beautiful city, don’t hestitate and go to this restaurant.

One of the best meals ever

We stumbled upon this gem and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time let alone on this trip. We didn’t catch our excellent hosts name but he helped us through the menu (in English) and gave phenomenal recommendations and explanations of the flavours of the menu. We ended up picking a couple of entrees and a salad to share. The cocktails were amazing and had their own Mexican spin on some classics. I can’t overstate how great the food was. Top service, fresh and light food in a beautiful location. We loved it so much were coming back for coffee tomorrow and would go again for dinner if we weren’t leaving Puebla tomorrow.

Lunch with a view

Exquisite, cozy restaurant in a refurbished building. The decor inside was minimalist but very artistic. We were seated on the top floor near a door that led to a small balcony. The dishes were tasteful and done in an artful way. I had a salad with berries and small balls of sherbet. I also had a croquet filled with cottage and goat cheese. It was my favorite part of the meal. The service was excellent and friendly.

Excellent food in a beautiful building close to the heart of Puebla

We are an older couple from the UK in Puebla for our son’s wedding. Having received friendly service from a waiter with good English when we called in for coffee earlier in the day we returned for dinner explaining that having had a lot of spicy Mexican food over many days we would like something a little simpler. Our dishes (beef short rib and tuna) were modified to be tasty with herbs but no hot spices and to incorporate extra veg - cabbage & carrots -the result was delicious and at a reasonable price. We’ll certainly try to eat there again before we leave.

Excelent choice for breakfast or brunch

Nice and comfortable place to spend a sunday morning with good food and good service. If hoy has Lunch there is a terrace bar in the third floor. If you want lunch instead the restaurant is on the second floor. Highly recomended.
