Best desserts in town!

We had our Christmas Eve and New Years Eve family dinner here. Raymond was a warm and hospitable host (speaks Spanish, English and French) and his wife’s cake’s were outstanding. We heard from another diner that you can pre-order the cakes for take-out. (She had ordered a delicious looking carrot cake).

Never crowed and always great food

The host and owner, Ramon, is from Montreal and his wife is chief cook and bottle washer. A great combination and the food is excellent. Many specials worth a second and third visit. This particular place is a little off the beaten path (on the left hand side of the road before you get into town) and is very much worth finding it. One of our favourites.

Excellent food and hospitality

Raymond and his wife are a pleasure. Besides the fact we stay in one of their new clean studios, having the restaurant on the premises is very convenient. You can have light fare at lunch to a full course meal in the evenings. We have not been disappointed in the many meals that we have enjoyed around the natural pond that has an open skylight.

Great food with excellent ambiance.

The owner is very personable and want to make sure you are pleased with the food and service. Only open during the high season and closes after Semana Santa.

One of the best meals we’ve had in La Manzanilla!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Mayahuel Restaurant and Pasteleria last night. We were not disappointed! My wife ordered the pollo tempura. The pollo was presented on a bed of perfectly prepared vegetables. It was lovely. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and vegetables. It was also delicious. We enjoyed some vino tinto, based on Raymundo’s recommendation, another good choice. We finished our meal sharing a slice of their tres leches cake made by Raymundo’s wife Irma. It was to die for! This was our first visit to Mayahuel Restaurant. We will be returning very soon.

Excellent service and food

We have been to this restaurant twice and the food has been superb! They have a great selection of daily specials at a very good price. I was very impressed with the pasta sauces, especially the Alfredo sauce which was of the perfect consistency. I also had the pollo tempura which was delicious. The presentation was so lovely that someone at another table came over to ask what I was having and decided to order the same. I highly recommend this restaurant!
