Another rave review

Four of us had dinner recently. I had made a reservation a few days prior and table was ready for our party. Super service from the owner and great food. Very small wine list but what they had was excellent. All of our group was very impressed. Some ways dining highlight of trip from oaxaca puerto escondido and hustulco for flight back to oaxaca. City

Impeccable service, generosity, and great food...

Our family had the pleasure to dine and enjoy the great experience at Mare. Our husband and wife hosts were wonderful people and restaurant owners. They treated everyone in our table and dining guests like we were all part of the family. We felt really welcome, like genuinely meeting a long friend or family that you had not seen for a long time. The atmosphere was great--the food was perfect. Our family enjoyed all the dishes that came out one by one. There were other small plates and drinks that were brought to us to enjoyed that we did not order. Overall, we had a great experience at the restaurant and meeting our hosts.

The best Italian food in Huatulco!

This restaurant is a MOST! If you are in Huatulco you need to take the time to visit Marez. The food, service, drinks, environment... all is perfect. The host (Maria and Alberto) are in the next level. I’ll return as soon as possible to this magic place

Move over competition....

I have been a regular visitor in Huatulco for over 7 years and I can’t believe it took me so long to come to this gem. Penne a la Firenze is the best pasta dish I’ve had in Huatulco. Period... Alberto and how wife are amazing... Wonderful life story with amazing results.... Will become a regular for sure...

Won’t disappoint

What a joyous experience dining twice at the delightful Mare. The Italian couple Alberto and Maria that own and run this gem are so welcoming and gracious I felt like I was eating with dear friends. The pasta, eggplant, seafood and salads were the best we have ever had. The wine we choose was an Italian Montepulciano and was excellent at a very reasonable restaurant price. So looking forward to returning very soon.

Only Italians can cook their pasta like this. The owners are personable and the service is top-notch. Great value too. You won't be disappointed.

Mare-well what can you say..Seafood restaurant at its best-When you have two Italians from Tuscany and Bologna cooking and running this charming restaurant- it’s the best, yet simple in its preparation true to its origins-you cannot ask for anything more-Maria and Alberto..incredible people. Excellent Italian in Huatulco

What a beautiful place Alberto and Maria have established in La Crucecita. Authentic Italian prepared with love and care, and it comes across in every bite. Wonderful hosts and delicious food - what more could you ask for? Only wish I’d had more time in the area to go back and try more from their menu. Look forward to visiting again one day.
