Las Palmas Tropicales

The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, and they responded to my requests or inquiries almost immediately. I felt right at home! The property is located in a quiet oceanside neighborhood where a short path leads you to the minimally populated San Pedrito beach. A great spot to catch the beautiful Baja sunsets. My casita was clean, well-kept, and nicely appointed with everything I needed. A perfect place to be lulled to sleep by the crashing waves of the Pacific. Looking forward to my next escape to Las Palmas Tropicales. Thank you Wendy and Bobby!

We are a couple in our mid 30s, and this was our first trip to Baja. We had a fantastic time. Staying at Las Palmas Tropicales was key. Wendy, Bobby, and their kids are lovely folks- they are friendly, and have no problem taking the time to help you out. Even before we arrived, Wendy was kind enough to answer a bunch of questions over email. Once we arrived she also wrote us a great list of places to eat, and where to get good coffee, and her son was nice enough to give us directions to the beach where I was going to learn how to surf. He also referred us to Carlos at TS Surf shop for a snorkeling trip, and that was also an excellent experience. The location is on a beautiful, secluded beach. The first evening we arrived we could see whales breaching from our room! The beach is lovely for long walks, whale watching, and reading a book; not as good for swimming, although there were surfers out in the water. We spent the first couple days shedding the city life, just relaxing on this beach, and dunking in the shallows. For a swimming beach, Cerritos is just a 15 min drive away, shorter if you have a car meant to drive on dirt roads. We rented a little Jetta and drove slowly on the dirt (all the beaches are off dirt roads from the highway). At night it was quiet, and we fell asleep to the hypnotic pounding of the surf. In the morning, the sound of a gentle bell would greet us from the neck of a goat next door. We greatly appreciated having a simple kitchen, as we liked to make ourselves breakfast and lunch, and heat up leftovers. The Wi-Fi worked great, we could even stream movies on Netflix from our laptop. It felt like the perfect, secluded getaway. We loved the option of quiet and peace, while also being close to a fun little town, and many beaches. We would either chill on the beach and eat leftovers, or pop in the car and drive the 15 minutes to Todos Santos for dinner. Right down the road was a great store for getting strawberries, other fresh produce, plus baked goods and coffee. Las Palmas Tropicales is really special. We look forward to staying again in the future! …

We loved our stay here! The hotel was right on the beach (just a few minute walk to the water) The owners, Wendy and Bobby, were extremely accommodating and friendly. We were put in a nicer room for the same rate we had agreed upon when we booked because it was available. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. There was an outdoor grill that we could have used if we had had more time there. We really enjoyed the porch overlooking the ocean as well as the Beach Bar that Bobby recommended. The Beach Bar is a couple minutes walk from the hotel and was the perfect place to watch the sunset with a cold margarita in hand. Would love to stay here again next time we return to Todos Santos!
