Beautiful, Luxurious, Intimate

My husband and our four friends traveled to Patzcuaro just to stay again in this jewel of an inn and visit the owner, Isabelle, who is the epitome of charm and graciousness. The architecture of the inn itself is historically significant and the tasteful renovations make it comfortable, luxurious and stunningly beautiful. We loved hanging out on the lovely veranda to read and chat, surrounded by luscious greenery and the relaxing sound of trickling water. The lovely staff of La Siranda served us a filling and delicious breakfast each morning and dinner on two of the three nights of our visit, which were exquisite. I highly recommend a "field trip" to Patzcuaro during your time in Mexico, with time to relax and enjoy the hospitality of La Siranda.

Worth a trip

I’ve visited La Siranda three times and can’t wait to go back. It is one of the loveliest places in Mexico-or anywhere. It’s beautiful, comfortable, immaculately maintained, quiet and centrally located. Isabel and her staff are always available to help plan a day tour or recommend local restaurants and shops. I recommend eating at the hotel; breakfast and dinner are offered at very reasonable prices. It’s some of the best food in Mexico in a quiet, beautiful dining room. La Siranda is a very special place.

One of the best Hostels I’ve been

I have heard good things about the hostel throughout my trip through México and therefore decided to book 3 days. In the end I stayed for 3 weeks. I love this place, the staff and the vibe in general. Especially through the activities with Romy we quickly grew together to a big family and extended our stay again and again. The rooms are really big, it doesn’t get too hot at night because of the many fans, the kitchen has everything you need and the pool is unique. The hostel is not quite centrally located but this makes you explore much more and also the tourist areas are within easy reach.

Fabulous visit! Highly recommended...

Isabel was a fantastic hostess - thoughtful, caring and very amenable. We stayed in the Azul room which was lovely with its own upstairs sitting room. Patzcuaro is unmissable if you like well-preserved Spanish Colonial towns with an indigenous feel. La Siranda was located literally steps from the main plaza and from Casa de las Once Patios which has some wonderful art and crafts. We spent 3 days meandering through the streets, sipping coffee and watching the world go by. We also drove out to Santa Fe de la Laguna which was beautiful and to Tzintzintzun. It was very relaxing to return to the luxurious comfort of La Siranda every late afternoon and to read with a glass of wine on the patio by the garden. We had breakfast at the hotel which was very high quality and absolutely delicious. All of Isabel's staff were very efficient and thoughtful and tolerant of our patchy Spanish language skills. We wish we could have stayed longer as our stay was so relaxing. We would highly recommend La Siranda and would love to visit again. Thank you for everything Isabel! …

Patzcuaro Jewel

My wife and I stayed there recently for two nights and it was perfect. The staff and Isabell, the owner went out of their way to accommodate us in every way possible. The hotel is charming and authentic and beautifully maintained......and completely quiet. Without question we’ll stay there again when we return to Patzquero. And, the location is a block off of the zoccolo where all of the action is.

If your travelling solo you won’t feel alone

First night stepped into my room (no hot water, no air conditioning) than I realized it’s been 5 hours since I left home I’m in Mexico after one time using shower decided I’m enjoying the pool nice and warm only thing is everyone relaxing in hammocks or lounging around want to know where you from “hey we’re going to the lagoon wana come?). Or the owners asking if you want to join the volunteers for BBQ dinner tonight it does set you back about 4$ And everyone joins together to prepare food for friends they just meet but if not hungry someone still wants to tell you about there day Word of caution you book this hostel for one night. Good luck explaining to your boss back home why you need more vacation time.
