Great selection of wines and italian food.
I usually say the best food that Tepa has to offer is Mexican food (.i.e. tacos, tortas, ceviche, etc.), but I was wrong when it comes to La Mangiatoia. A good friend (who is a local, and has a picky palate) recommended this place. I was hesitant, because I know good Italian food - I’ve been to Italy and well, the U.S has some pretty awesome Italian restaurants. I can honestly say this restaurant exceeded my expectations. And for those who don’t know, the owner is originally from Italy and was a chef there too. I had the putanesca and it was spectacular. The pizza is great too, but I think some people have the U.S expectation that it will be lathered in pizza sauce - don’t kid yourself. This is authentic Italian food. By the way, try the smoked salmon appetizer, it was decadent.
