Amazing food and incredible service.

I enjoyed my B-day dinner here the staff was very nice and super attentive they really made my experience here great. I definitely recommend.

Nice decor and excellent food with friendly efficient staff. I had the tuna steak which was excellent and came with chunky grilled vegetables. Recommended and not to pricey

Great place to go with family, business, friends

I’m a local, and it´s one of my favorite restaurant’s here in Mexicali. Here the tostadas and tacos are the best. Tostada “chinaloa” and “red snapper” are my favorite. Then you can have an octopus taco or “Tacos arabes!! Both are great!! There lots of great thing in the menu, but those 3 are really good!

Very nice restaurant

Its not expensive, its super nice, even though is not a fancy restaurant, it is very nice. Food is great, try the blue tuna tostada I love it. Its also a good place to go with friends to hang out and have a few drinks while enjoying good seafood. And it is located in the very best zone of Mexicali, walking distance from the best hotels in town.

Hands down, the absolute best seafood in Mexicali!!!

Being a true fish and marisco appassionato and having eaten in many countries, this place is amongst the absolute best. Everything is extremely fresh and filled with amazing flavour. We have eaten here about 9 time and had almost everything on the menu. Nothing has disappointed and if you like octopus, the grilled octopus is an absolute treat. It is a whole octopus grilled to perfection and served on a bead of rice with some over roasted potatoes... I get hungry just thinking about this plate and their menu. Another delectable treat offered by La Corriente is their proprietary Mezcal and the blended drinks that they make with it. They have list of Mezcalitas that are truly divine. They are blended ice drinks with an array of traditional Mexican flavors, my favorite is with Tamarindo.. Take a few minutes and stop by for an amazing treat, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Best choice for Seafood in Mexicali

Tacos, tostadas, soups, coctails? What’s your choice? They have them all and with their special taste. Taco "Cachanilla" and Tostada "La Corriente" are my favorites. Try to avoid rush hours as it gets really croeded and service is not enough when serving a lot of people.

Amazing food

This restaurant was right next door to our hotel and had good reviews, so decided to give it a try for dinner. Ended up coming back the next day for lunch. Servers are friendly. Most seemed to speak English. The grilled octopus is unbelievable. It is more than enough for two. The tuna “carnitas” were also really good - also a shareable plate
