Best ceviche, shrimp tacos & homemade sauces on the island!

We came here for lunch. Service was excellent - quick and friendly. Good selection of ice cold beers (30 pesos - very reasonable). We ordered shrimp tacos and fish ceviche - both of which were the best we’ve had on the island! Especially when you factor in the price - amazing value! Don’t miss out on the special homemade sauces - really takes the dishes to the next level. The atmosphere was chill - the servers were playing a hypnotic selection of electronic beats. It was the perfect accompaniment to the tasty food and ice cold beers! Total tab 4 beers, fish ceviche and shrimp tacos came to less than 500 pesos. Definitely will be back!

Best fish and shrimp tacos in Holbox

If you are looking for a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Holbox, this is where you want to go. Their tacos is to die for….either fish or the shrimp tacos. You can taste the freshness of the seafood. And get the horchata to chase down the tacos. The ceviche is good but I prefer the ceviche at Ser Casasandra. Price wise though, you can’t beat value for your money at La Chingada. We ate there twice during our stay so needless to say I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Best food and juice in all Holbox! Went there everyday on my 10 day stay, sometimes twice a day... Made friends with the family

FEELS LIKE HOME. This is about as authentic as it gets in Holbox. Ask the locals, this is their #1 choice. It’s even on the top of the list of recommendations at Tribu Hostel. Love the staff the atmosphere, the food, and the fresh fresh JUICE. Miss it already!

Favorite meal on isla holbox

This was my favorite meal on Holbox. Unlike the overpriced food on the Main Street and beach, this place feels small and family run with home cooked type food. I got the ceviche tostone and a plate of rice, beans, and salad. Everything was delicious - well spiced with nuance to the flavors and textures.

Tasty food and great prices

Food here is delicious!! Place is so cute and staff is super friendly. I had the shrimp tacos they were SO GOOD. We also ordered the aguachiles and they were a little spicy and so tasty.

Delicious ceviche

This was our favorite ceviche in Holbox. We also enjoyed the smoothy/fruit drinks. Great fish tacos.
