Autentic Spaniel Food

A quiet and small place like an Italian trattoria but with a plenty of options to enjoy spaniel food. It is well presented and tasty.

Upscale food, comfortable atmosphere

Three seafood dishes including salmon, shrimp and lobster entrees and a steak were enjoyed. Very fresh ingredients and light mediterranean flavors and delivery. Service was excellent, there seemed to be just one server but he moved fast and we were taken care of. We really enjoyed the outside seating arrangement around well kept gardens. Late service until 11pm.

OMG! Oysters and steak and the mussels... delicious

We started with a dozen of very fresh oysters. Delicious! My friend ate a steak with pepper and we shared mussels with withe wine and garlic. Everything was delicious. It is not a very famous street but it is a good place to have a chic meal not so expensive

A nice first visit!

I had the gourmet hamburger and it was delicious! I’m not into Spanish cuisine a lot, but my colleagues had the paella, it seemed really tasty and well served. The service is a little slow, but it’s worthwhile if you consider that the food is prepared at that moment. I’d like to go back.

Nice atmosphere, service, and delicious cuisine

We have traveled to Europe and Africa planning our way with trip advisor reviews and have never been disappointed. Closer to home the reviews have been equally reliable, so we went to La Cava Catalana in Xalapa, Veracruz, with high expectations and were not at all disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service excellent, and the food was delicious. We opted for seafood, including mejillones (mussels) which were perfect, absolutely wonderful. We will gladly drive 90 minutes for such a treat, and plan to make the trip as often as possible. I agree with Manumanuti: It is our favorite restaurant in Xalapa.

My favourite restaurant at Xalapa

I go to this restaurant at least once or twice a month with my parents and my brother we love it we love the food we love the attention the service, the place. Ask for the recommendations of the Day because they are always renewing and adding new delicious and original dishes to their main offer. 10/10.
