Ki’ Bok Cafe Gourment, Tulum

This place was recommended to me by two different friends from the US, so I had to go. It was worth it. The coffee (I got a cold mocha) was so amazing, I don’t know what it is about their coffee, but it was delicious. The breakfast burrito was insanely good. Again, don’t know what everything that went into it (felt like there was a cut up hot dog in it), but it was so good. Only minus...we sat in the back on the terrace, and at one point the hostess sat a guy next to us, who right away lit up a cigarette. I am a former smoker, so I get the need to smoke while drinking coffee, but there were plenty of empty tables, wish he was seated somewhere further away. Oh well. Recommend it, if you’re in town.

We stopped here on the referral of a friend and it was GREAT! Loved the coffe and the Chia tea with coconut milk and the vegetarian burgers! Service was exceptional.

As we learned, not many places in Tulum town are open very early - we like to get up and get our day started! As we were strolling downtown trying to find an open coffee shop, we finally found this place - we were so glad we did! The baristas were so friendly and fun to chat with. We enjoyed sitting on the swings out front. The coffee was good, and they had plenty of options to choose from. I ordered Chilaquiles for breakfast and it was SO. GOOD. I literally still think about it to this day. We went back for breakfast the next day and sat in the back garden which was a cool experience. We got to chat with the cooks that day, which we also enjoyed. Definitely recommend this place, and we will be back next time we are in town!

Pasamos enfrente de este restaurante una noche, y ya iban a cerrar, y teníamos tantas ganas de ir, que fuimos al siguiente día, pero son 3 pisos. Entonces, fuimos al segundo piso que era mas como bar, pero aquí no hay NADA DE ESPACIO, y nos llamo la atención el 3er piso, y le comentamos a la mesera, que era allá arriba, y nos comento que era solo una parrillada, que lo bueno era este piso, pero a mi no me convenció, y subí a darle una vuelta. Quiero decirles que el BAR DEL TERCER PISO ES OTRA COSA!!!! NO es ¨solo una parrillada¨ (la cual si tienen y huele muy rica) Es un bar premium al que llegas a degustar de muy buena calidad de mezcales! NO es un bar al que llegas y te compras una botella de marcas comerciales. Este bar es UNICO!! Aparte de la hermosa vista que te ofrece, los bartenders son muy amables!! Tiene apenas 1 semana que abrieron ese concepto de bar, pero es simplemente único!! Estuvimos casi 2 horas platicando con ellos, dándonos degustaciones , obviamente los tragos no son baratos, pero se nota la calidad de las bebidas. La cerveza Tulum (que no habíamos probado) nos contaron su historia, de los diferentes mezcales premium que manejan, todo el concepto NOS ENCANTO!!! SI PLANEAS EN VISITAR TULUM, TIENES QUE VISITAR ESTE LUGAR! We passed in front of this restaurant one night, and they were already closing, and we wanted so much to go, that we went the next day. It has 3 floors and we were looking more for a bar so we went to the second floor. Sadly, there is NO SPACE AT ALL, and the 3rd floor caught our attention, so we asked the waitress what was up there, and she told us that it was just a grill not much to see, that the good thing was the 2nd floor, but I was not convinced, and I went up to take a look. I got to tell you, THE THIRD FLOOR BAR IS SOMETHING ELSE!!! It is NOT ¨just a grill¨ (btw they do have a grill thats smells amazing) It is a premium bar where you get to taste a very good quality of Mezcal & Tequila It is NOT a bar where you arrive and buy a commercial brand bottle. THIS BAR IS UNIQUE!! Apart from the beautiful view it offers, the bartenders are very friendly!! It has only been 1 week since they opened that bar, but the concept is simply unique !! We spent almost 2 hours talking with them, giving us tastings, obviously the drinks are not cheap, but you can see the quality of the drinks. The Tulum beer (which we had not tried) its delicious! IF YOU VISIT TULUM, THIS PLACE IS A MOST GO!

definitely the best coffee in Tulum, if you’re there in the afternoon ... be sure to try one of the house made tequila truffles too! all their pastries are made in house, which i love. and if you ask for a green juice (not on the menu) the barista will make you an enormous fresh juice on the spot with whatever produce was delivered that morning. (tip, order a large, its only a few pesos more, and definitely worth it).

Honestly great place to work and feel the vibe of the town. Also unreal ceviche, which was a shock but I highly recommend! Waitstaff was also super nice and helpful!

Very nice flavours and wide selection of options to choose from! We ordered the omelette and huevos divorciados, both were delicious!
