Il Pescatore, Playa del Carmen

We dined at the Bella Ristorante in the Panama Jack Resort 2 times while staying at the resort. Waitstaff Captain Teodoro and the chef Teresa did a wonderful job during our visits. The highlight of the experience was with the Sommelier Gerado. Being experienced Mexico vacationers we are well aware that the all inclusive wines served are not satisfactory to an experienced wine enthusiast. Gerardo introduced himself and indicated his services were available not only at Bella but at all the resort restaurants during our stay. He was pleasant, kind and took the time to understand our wine taste and then took the time to pair the meal with a wine that would compliment the great food. He was also considerate of our price range for selecting a wine. We summoned him 3 evenings both at Bella and another of the resort restaurants. On our last night dining he asked if we would allow him to request that Chef Teresa prepare a meal to share for us not on the menu. A very nice gesture and we thoroughly enjoyed that experience and the seafood medley meal Teresa and her staff prepared for us.He is doing a great job at filling the shoes of the original Carlos ( former Real Sommelier) who was stationed at the Royal (now Hilton) across the street. He is a great person and asset to the dining experience at Panama Jack’s Restaurants within the resort.

Now called "Bella's" this place has an amazing steak and caesar salad, I like to go here a couple of times on vacation......Very nice atmosphere and the staff are incredible.

This has been one of the bright spots in our restaurant experiences in Playa. The food was delicious and our server was gracious, skilled and funny. We will go back before our trip ends.

The service is absolutley wonderful. The sommelier, Jacquin, is such a pleasure and knows his stuff! The food is delicious. The new head chef, Teresa, is very nice and her chefs are willing to make your eating experience a good one! They’re willing to "tweak" your meals if requested,ie, spicy- non spicy, etc. It’s one of my favorite restaurants.

Went here for supper and it was great! The Maitre de was friendly and teasing. Hector our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and always there when we needed him. The food was flavorful and hot! Hector was also great at making suggestions on the menu. My husband had the pasta trio and loved it. I had the chicken scallopini and I loved it too! My husband had the apple dessert with chocolate ice cream that has chocolate chunks in it. I had strawberries with a bit of the above ice cream tasted great!

Excellent food and even better service. Antonio is the best waiter you will ever have. The new Chef Natalie, is doing a great job!

Really yummy Italian food across The Royal hotel. The chicken with stuffed tomato and cheese was absolutely my favorite dish there. Staff was wonderful!

This restaurant changed its name since we were there it is called Viaggos, and the food is still great. Steaks were great and so were the pasta's. Caesar salad was excellent.

We stopped in while walking 5th street and had a Margherita Pizza, 2 drinks, and a chocolate souffle for $28usd. Beer was cold, Pizza was hot and really good, and the chocolate souffle was top notch. Service (Alex) was exceptional, and our table outside gave us a great view of all the activity on 5th street.
