Hotel & Suites Mar Y Sol Las Palmas

We have been coming to this hotel for many years. We never really think of it as a "hotel"...it is more like our home away from home! Our suite here is clean and roomy and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful and we enjoy visiting with them! Every year there are some improvements...heating the pool, newer towels, furnished common area with BBQ and new railings. We always enjoy staying here and appreciate the hospitality we receive at The Mar Y Sol Las Palmas.

We stayed here in May 2016 and it was our first time. I researched thoroughly and read all reviews on TripAdvisor. It sounded like the perfect place for us. Not fancy but clean and safe and the staff (Consueolo Te Amo!) are beyond helpful. From Consuelo, the hotel manager to Ceazar the groundskeeper/maintenance man to Maddy, our maid - we felt like family. Everyone is so helpful and willing to answer all your dumb questions with patience :) The location is perfect with a short walk through the pool area and across the street and you are on the beautiful beach. We had a kitchenette suite which was so nice to have a fridge and stove if you needed it and also a coffee maker upon request. As we traveled in May, it was low season so on weekends the hotel was filled with Mexican tourists from other areas. It was so much fun to watch all the children playing in the pool and families having fun. We would not hesitate to stay here again and in fact are booked again for 3 weeks in May 2017.
