HOTEL Coatlicue

Super cómodo ,cerca de las pirámides super tranquilo el lugar, la atención increíble el despertar con el rugir de los globos aerostáticos ,cumplen con las normas de higiene y seguridad, fue en plan de negocios y todo bien.

We literally cannot sing the praise high enough. The room itself is basic but for around £25-30 a night it’s good value. What separates this place for us was our hosts who were two of the nicest people we’ve met on our travels. My fiancée was a little bit concerned about taking the public buses so wanted us to take a taxi to get there. We decided last minute to message the hotel on Facebook to ask if they would be able to arrange something and boy did they deliver in a big way! Juan Antonio (our host for the trip) agreed to pick us up from the Airport for 700 pesos with the same price for the way back. Absolutely worth it when you consider how far Teotihuacan is from the Airport. When we arrived he took us to the Basilica of the Lady Guadeloupe and the surrounding churches and we got loads of photos and his brother in law, Oscar, who couldn't really speak English but understood us was telling us lots of cool facts that he knew. On the drive back we chatted the whole way about our lifestyles and his and the history of our countries which was a really good way to pass the time. He told us it's actually his wife's father who owns the hotel and he helps out whenever he's not working himself. Once we got back to the Hotel he introduced us to his wife Brenda and his one year old son and we went for dinner together. We woke up early the next morning and decided to take up the option of breakfast before setting out for Teotihuacan. It's a longer trip that you'd expect as there's only one entrance but he again asked to drive us and we spent the day seeing the sights and having and awesome time. The fact he did all of this on his days off his own full time job just to deliver a good service shows his attitude as an amazing person going way above and beyond any possible expectations we had. It's a shame I can only rate this place 5/5 because he makes it deserve far more. …
