Great Place...must visit in Matamoros
Been coming here for over 50 years. I recalll when it was just a very tiny upstairs bar. Always great food, good shopping and don’t worry folks, super safe. Highly recommended! By the way, does anyone remember the old Drive In restaurant? I heard it was the same ownership and a very similar menu and dining experience. Been closed for many years. Love Garcia’s though....a Matamoros institution.

I have been eating, drinking, and shopping here for over 30 years. Located about 100 yards from the border crossing, it is well lit, has security guards, and the best air conditioning in Mexico! The restaurant has gourmet dishes as well as regional specialties with seafood and beef. The bar has live entertainment and a variety of special drinks. The gift shop is clean, no pressure, and reasonable.

It's a great option in the summer for a great "chivito con fritas". You can also try lots of homemade culinary options and you will not be disappointed.

Great food
The salad bar is great. From the menu I love the mushrooms and the pasta also. You can also buy mexican handcrafts in the store, but I think the prices are a little expensive for mexican people. I don’t know if the american people would think the same as me.
