Excellent food, great prices

After a long walking tour, my friends and I were craving good, traditional Mexican food: not one of the expensive poblano restaurants, just somewhere we could get food that would taste like it our moms made it. El Viejo Rosario was recommended by a local. The pozole, tortilla soup and chilaquiles were amazing, and the prices were so cheap. If and when I return to Puebla, this is where I’m stopping to eat first.

Excellent lunch

I had the Pescado al Ajillo which was the nicest fish dish I had in Puebla. The service was friendly and reasonably quick. My friend's lunch was equally good and the churro for dessert was massive.

Great all round!

Make sure that you sit upstairs (I think you can only do this if you are having alcohol - but I’m not sure) as it’s far more charming up there! We had delicious Mexican food, with great, friendly and thoughtful sevice and in a lovely setting!

Reasonably priced food at the heart of Puebla Historic Center

This is the most reasonably priced restaurant that I found in Puebla center. They serve mouth-watering Poblano specialties at a reasonable price. They even allowed my request to change the mole sauce of my enchilada to pipian verde (you all have to try this sauce - IT IS AMAZING!)

Excellent food and great prices.

I've been there several times and it never ceases to surprise me. The food is excellent and there's a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices. Its very popular among locals, which is always a good reference.

Great food, good prices

We ate here twice. Loved it. Prompt attentive service. Family atmosphere. Very popular with locals. Good value. Nicely decorated. Good food with a large selection on the menu.
