Best in town

Went there for business trip. Awesome tacos with good sauces and a variety of meats. Can’t go wrong here.

Never judge by the outside!

Brought by colleague to have lunch in this restaurant, looks like a neighborhood eatery, to be honest, looks run down from the outside We took our lunch in their aircon room, very cooling (especially the weather is at 41C). Staffs are very friendly. We ordered tacos by the meats that you like, the toppings, it come on a huge elongated tray, you can add chiils, onions, etc, whatever you like to your tacos I had chicken as my main, it is really delicious, plus the food is inexpensive Really a good cheap eat, with great food. It is really not impressive from the outside

The best of the best.

For starters let me say that the best tacos in Mexico are found in Mexicali. In most parts of Mexico you’ll get your carne on a tortilla with maybe some chopped onion and cilantro and a choice of a couple salsas. In Mexicali most taco places offer many more toppings. El Pirul has really good carne and a great selection of toppings: cabbage, beans, guacamole, onions, several types of salsa, and on and on. You can also get grilled chilies, grilled green onions, and cucumber, carrots, radishes, and more. They have an air-conditioned seating area (as it has been known to get a bit warm in Mexicali) and excellent service. Whenever my family wants tacos, we go to El Pirul (except on Sunday when they’re closed. Oh, by the way, if there is someone in your group that doesn’t want tacos, there’s a really good hotdog stand right next door.
