Costa Maya Yoga

Went to two classes in the few days that I was in Mahahual and enjoyed both immensely. Simone is very calm, knowledgeable and friendly. She guided a class full of people with differing skill levels (mine being beginner level) through classes smoothly and with humor. The view of the ocean from the studio is so relaxing and beautiful. Felt so good in body and sprit afterward. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular. Thanks! ❤️

I had a brilliant class with Simone, suitable for all levels as she gives different options. Really great experience. The studio is the most beautiful I have seen, overlooking the Caribbean! Wow!

Simone was a wonderfully welcoming teacher, and the class was very good, it flowed really well and I found myself doing asanas I’d never tried before, and having fun with them. I wish I could have stayed in Mahahual longer just so I could have attended more classes.

Also, the venue is great. A beautiful room with a view of the ocean. Sun salutations facing the rising sun: priceless!

Booked a yoga class online but you could probably just walk in and pay as a drop in. The class was just what I needed after cruising for the past 5 days. The owner/teacher was very welcoming. She creates a great sacred space!

It’s been a while. But while sitting near the beaches of Sri Lanka, I still have fond memories about the classes in Mahahual. Simone and Louise are amongst the best teachers I’ve ever experienced. Their classes are demanding and calming at the same time. They both are great characters and very passionate in their yoga, but in a very subtle and also relaxed way. They will suit every class to your level or needs at that day or even time of day.
The studio in front of the beach with a stunning view of course is one of the best spots to get your yoga flowing. That’s why found myself taking classes sometimes twice a day.
Miss both of them and I hope I can get back to Mahahual soon.

If you are into Yoga, or you are not into yoga, and just want to go see what the hype is about, and you are in Mahahual, you really need to check out Costa Maya Yoga. This is yoga at its very best. The studio is on the second story over-looking the beautiful Mahahual sea and beach. Most of the time, there is a delightful breeze blowing softly through the windows and the view is unmatched. I am 60 years old and did not start doing yoga til I was 58. You are never too old! It so helps with your balance and flexibility. These are the things that we loose as we grow older. I have been going here for about three years now and I love it. There is no need to feel self-conscience, Simone is there to only help. Her instruction is so much better than I have found anywhere else! I wish I could find a Simone back in the states! She gears any class to the participants. I highly recommend it while in Mahahual!

I spent 2 weeks in Quinta Roo travelling around and trying different yoga classes- and the sessions that I did in Mahahual were the best hands down!

The teaching standard was very high- in the case of both teachers- and the studio was set in a beautiful location with a view of the sea. I highly recommend anyone in the area to pop along and try the classes out. Hasta la próxima!

I went here for a morning class and it was amazing. Both relaxing and challenging at the same time, and with a gorgeous view. Simone was very good at assisting as well, so you get deeper into the stretches. It is a little on the expensive side, but totally worth it.

I joinded the yoga class spontaneous one morning. I was happy that I could just participate. It was a beautiful start in the day with very friendly people, good atmosphere, an awesome view to the ocean and good equipment. The Vinyasa Yoga was a little bit challenging, but I felt very balanced afterwards. Simone is a good teacher, who motivates you and shows the right body posture. It was totally worth the price!
