Cholula Day Trip from Puebla Including the Great Pyramid

You must visit and see how the Spaniards built a Cathedral on top of the great pyramid in Cholula, Puebla. Unique in it’s type!

We booked this tour with an English-language guide. Since only my husband & myself needed the guide, we basically had a personalized tour!! (The rest of the bus passengers spoke Spanish.) Jose Luis is a retired chemical engineer who likes to keep busy, and WOW has he taken the time to learn his Mexican history. I am an archaeologist, so I knew that he was giving us the straight story on the Pyramid of Cholula, Cortes’ conquest of the country, etc.
We enjoyed everything: the city tour, the cathedrals, the pyramid and the lively shopping/entertainment area in front of it; even the Talavera shop...which was a short enough stop not to frustrate those who did NOT want to shop. (However, I collect Talavera, so I enjoyed the unique designs at this shop! And they had local liqueurs that they let us try, too!)
This is a fabulous, cost-effective way to visit the area, if you have limited time. [Note: eat a decent breakfast beforehand...this is a busy itinerary that does not stop for lunch.] Our guide Jose Luis really made all the difference, with his knowledge!
