Lovely cafe

Great coffee and muffins... I believe the meals are good too. Peaceful setting with the soothing sounds of a fountain.

A nice, relaxing spot for a bite to eat.

I came in here yesterday as the walking tour finished at the Biblioteca. I had a quesadilla, 100 pesos; a frapucchino, 45 pesos; and a pan queso cheesecake, 40 pesos. The cafe was very spacious and had nice, mellow music playing. It is situated inside the library to the right hand side. I recommend it.

Charming Library C afe

This lovely cafe/restaurant is located in a small, green patio withing the publiuc library grounds and serves breakfasts an lun ch with a few hot meals and a large assortment of sandwhiches, salads and pastry. A quiet, lovely place for a quiet lunch. Sometimes friends meet there for coffee, chess or back gammon. Good and affordable, right in the center of town.

Connecting point

Lovely cafe, with good service and food. Seems to be a connecting point for expats a,d new arrivals to San Miguel. One can spend a few minutes or an hour waiting for next activity offered at Biblioteka ( i.e. lecture, movie, show)

Wonderful breakfast!

This is a beautiful gem of a cafe. Inside the library, in a little courtyard patio. Very peaceful. We overwhelmed them a bit, being a group of 12 (!) just popping in for breakfast. Most of the tables there are little bistro tables. Our server was good natured about it, and put a bunch of tables together for us. It took a little bit of time to get our food (party of 12) but I don’t fault them at all for that. Some bread or jam might have been nice while we waited, but we also didn’t ask. For most of our party, the food was some of the best we had in San Miguel- simple, well made, great flavor, authentic. Coffee was great, and some of the kids got smoothies or juices that were really good. After eating, we ordered a couple of slices of banana bread to share- excellent!! I would go back in a heartbeat. It’s a very peaceful place to pass some time and eat great food. Our server was very nice and very helpful.

Treat yourself and do good!

We have been here several times, mostly for coffee and pastries. Although it offers a pretty extensive menu, we have not had a full meal here. We can say the pastries and coffees are excellent. The carrot muffin is frankly too good for my health! Had we known of the full menu we would have planned a meal here. Regardless, the food, service, and value are excellent. As a bonus, some of the proceeds help fund the Biblioteca, which is another gem in the community. Do yourself, and the community a favor by coming here.
