To get to Bucerias from Puerto Vallarta, it is best to either take a bus from the Walmart (18 pesos/person, about an hour of travel time) or a taxi (roughly 300 pesos, about 40 minutes of travel time). If you are on a bus, it is best to ask the driver to inform you when you arrive at Bucerias Centro. Our office is about 1 block north of the Centro, directly on the highway. The bus can drop you off right in front of the office, or you can walk the one block from the intersection that leads to the Centro. Our office is a white building with a red brick awning and two entrances, both with glass doors. See you soon!

Amazing opportunity to learn about local culture! And make your own salsa! :)
What an incredible experience! We learned so much about the local culture, different art techniques, and local food. We even got to make our own salsa! The best part was the real "human connections" that were made during the trip. The opportunity to chat with folks about their lives, our lives, share stories about our kids, learn from our hosts, and laugh together was such a highlight! This is my third tour, and they just keep getting better! I am already looking forward to my next one! Thank you, Human Connections! By far and away is the best way to spend a day!

Don’t miss out this unique responsible tourism experience in Bucerias!
We were staying for a week in Punta de Mita and wanted something more immersive than a pure beach vacation. Fortunately we found this tour. Claudia was our guide. Very kind, safe easy, little walking. She shuttled us between family homes in Bucerias that hosted us to show us their trade and share experiences. It was well organized and we left feeling apart of the community instead of outsiders. Sadly few people coming to Punta de Mita discover this wonderful experience. So glad I found them.

We met Claudia, our tour guide at Human Connection’s office. She presented the organisation, responsible tourism, some interesting information about Mexico and the three families of local artisans that we were going to meet.
Leonarda was our first host and she told us her fascinating story. Maria explained the Lopez Lopez family business between Chiapa and Buscerias. Illena and her daughter Sophia prepared a very tasty Mexican meal in their home and share their story. Amazing day spend exchanging with these people. Great responsible tourism experience!

Human Connections Cultural Tour
I really enjoyed meeting Nallely, Leonarda, and Rolando, and hearing about their work and lives in Bucerias. Claudia was a wonderful host, easily translating conversations and questions. Our lunch was delicious! I look forward to future opportunities to meet Bucerias artisans!

An amazing day!
Right from the time we walked through the Human Connections Tour doors we were treated with exceptional service and attention. The overview before our tour started was thorough but not overwhelming. Travelling around the Bucerias area in the air conditioned van was really convenient and a way to relax and discuss what we had just experienced. Claudia and Hector, our driver were amazing. They were so good at answering our questions about the people and families we visited along with other general questions about Mexican life for the average citizen.
The trip was safe and there was little walking required so people of all ages can enjoy this event. We look forward to visiting them again but taking the longer tour up into the countryside. If you are looking for something different to do, without breaking the bank this tour is for you and your family.

Heartland
Thoroughly enjoyed our cultural tour with Human Connections. Claudia was an amazing guide, and being able to meet and actually connect with the host artisans was an irreplaceable experience. Furthermore, they were all so welcoming and hospitable! The restaurant also accommodated a vegan meal for me, so that was greatly appreciated. It was the perfect opportunity to continue learning how to become a more responsible tourist. Would definitely recommend to anyone who visits the area - it was very enjoyable and informative. Would love to see this organization pop up around the globe!
