Great place for steaks and pasta

This is an Italo-Uruguayan restaurant. Excellent cuts, seafood, great pasta & pizza. Always great quality and service. Wine list is not great and truly pricy.

Great service, delicious food, beautiful atmosphere

I really like this restaurant. It's expensive, but the prices comes with very high quality food, excellent wine, and great service. They have really nice beef dishes with imported meat from Uruguay, nice salads, and good empanadas. It's great for a special occasion.

Always a treat

From the nice young people attending to the quality of the food and drinks, the place is very pleasant. For me the best meat in town - I recommend the Entrana with one of their superior choices of Malbec - superb service, plesant atmosphere, not cheap, but hey, we only live once

Extraordinary on all. Worth the prioce

Uruguay style food including great steaks, pasta, pizza and fresh meals cooked with art beyond the ordinary. Very intimate and relaxing atmosphere and excellent service provided by young Uruguayan waiters, always prone to help and demonstrate the rich and vast cuisine from their country. Somehow pricy, but worth the price for an excellent afternoon or night meal in a very cozy facility, in a beautiful neighborhood

It is a very cozy place, it has a great terrace for smoking parties, pizzas were beyond excellent! And so did the salads, my husband had a great experience with the beef, also a great service, a definitive comeback!

Delightful food, service and atmosphere

A group of eight of us stopped into Barrio Sur for a Saturday lunch after not being able to be seated at the San Angel Inn next door. What a serendipitous turn of events! The servers could not have been more helpful and all-around adorable (and it was lovely that they were all fluent in English as well). The food was excellent (the empanadas were a particular highlight, and the pastas were delicious and flavorful), and the red wine selection, exemplary. (They only had three white wine choices, but the waiter brought out each bottle and talked about the attributes of each one, which led us to an excellent choice). Worth a trip to San Angel to experience (and certainly a nice stop after a morning of walking the streets and markets of San Angel).
