Honeymoon at Acre Treehouses

We spent the second half of our honeymoon at Acre and would 1000% recommend! The hotel and restaurant are so so beautiful and cool. And the grounds are gorgeous! Would definitely recommend staying in the treehouses, especially if you’re into glamping. It really feels like you’re immersed in nature—you can hear the wind and surrounding animals outside, feel the temperature outside, and you see the trees all around you. Such a spectacular place! The outdoor shower was also a highlight!! We loved the pool too, it is so chic. And we loved Salvador, who brought us plenty of drinks and snacks (including complimentary popsicles! poolside! He was also so friendly and helpful! The surrounding farmland and animals make for such a gorgeous view. The food onsite is also a major highlight—while definitely on the pricy side, it was definitely worth it. Everything we ate—whether at the restaurant, poolside, or the coffee shop/diner—tasted so fresh, delicious, and surprising. If you want to eat at the restaurant onsite, i would definitely recommend reservations since it gets crowded. Be sure to check out the bar and try some of the tasty drinks! …

A week in paradise!

For a friends birthday we booked rooms at Acre. Even before we arrived on property we were taken care of, from assisting with airport transportation, golf recommendations and our COVID testing. The staff and managers of Acre went above and beyond. On arrival we were met and shown our rooms while they assisted with luggage. They even had homemade snacks in the rooms and a birthday cake waiting for my friend. The highlights of Acre (in no particular order, it was all great): 1. The restaurant - a farm to table concept with great flavour combinations. It was the best food we had in Cabo. My top recommendations are the burrata starter, the cheddar biscuits (with honey butter) and the Wagu beef. The brussel sprout starter to share was also amazing! The restaurant had a fantastic selection of cocktails and wine. The service was also great. It is a popular restaurant so reservations are recommended so you don’t miss out (although they always have some room for treehouse hotel guests). 2. The Acre Treehouses - these were luxury treehouses with king sized beds and a private deck. They put us in treehouses next to each other and it was very convenient. You felt secluded but close to all amenities still. 3. The pool bar - Wow!! Can Salvador, Sandra and everyone else make amazing cocktails!! The mezcalaritas were one of our favourites. And the service was always exceptional. I would go back just for their pool and bar service. The Acre lunch food menu was available from 12-5. The kale salad and the margarita pizza were two of our favourites. 4. The property grounds - It was one of the best kept properties I have seen. Everything on the property, from the buildings, plants and animals were taken care of daily. Just be careful as it was really hard not to fall in love with the rescue puppies they had for adoption there. 5. The staff - I cannot say enough about how well we were treated. Thank-you to Leo, Hugo and Alfonso for always going above and beyond and to Emilio and Maggie for making sure everything went smoothly at the front desk. Even when there was a hiccup the managers took extra steps to ensure our trip was the best. 6. Mezcal tasting - Jose set up a great tasting for us, and he was very knowledgeable about Mezcal. We were both so impressed that we came home with Mezcal. 7. The spa - getting a massage and facial in a treehouse with the breeze blowing through was a great experience. They were very professional, and I felt so relaxed after. A definite must if you stay. 8. Faustos - the breakfast spot located on site. Coffee, pastry and juice are included with the Treehouse stay and there is always the option to add on other breakfast selections at a reasonable cost. Everything was delicious! 9. Yoga - 9 am yoga by the pool was the perfect way to start each day. Azul, the yoga instructor was fantastic. I felt so completely relaxed after! Thank-you. We have been home for 1 day and already deciding when to go back. …

Will 100% Recommend

This is certainly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. I want to kick this off by saying Hugo is phenomenal!!! Okay back to the review as soon as I arrived (had a late arrival) there was a security check-in so I felt very safe. A staff member was there and able to provide me with a tour of my treehouse and tell me where everything was. As I just mentioned I stayed in one of the treehouses. You can also stay in a villa on the property as a homeowner only I believe. I must warn you the treehouse doesn’t have air conditioning and I honestly was quite nervous about this but it was actually fine! Nights were very cool and I was shocked that I needed the blanket on the bed. Obviously around 3pm during the hottest point of the sun, you’ll be hot but the ceiling fan and additional fan in your room will do you justice. Waking up in this beautiful environment was breathtaking. You can tell how hard they worked on landscape, it’s worth it the trip. The treehouses are a great size for a couple or solo. Yes, you have electricity! There is also a beautiful outdoor shower but don’t worry there is a bathroom in your treehouse with a sink and toilet. The restaurants on the property is so good that you don’t want to eat off the property but you should! Breakfast at Fausto’s and everything else at the Acre restaurant and/or pool bar was certainly a highlight. Sidebar: I don’t know what’s the secret to the tasty popsicles they offer poolside but I’m willing to pay for it! The staff there (especially Hugo) are very sweet from the hotel, to the pool bar staff to the restaurant staff and they are so attentive. The only cons which one honestly should be expected is that there are bugs so there was a couple times I was laying down and realized a critter or two was laying with me. The other is the roads leading to the property are very bumpy, I didn’t mind but if someone is pregnant or easily car sick this may not be for you. Also, taxis are so expensive so take an Uber when you can but those wait times can be extensive at times. I’ll end off with some more pros, I loved that there were no kids allowed on the property outside of the restaurant it made for a great bonus for an already relaxing environment. Additionally, the masseuse was incredible. I literally was feeling new heights of relaxation during my massage. Acre is certainly an experience! …

We came for a friends birthday dinner and had the absolute best time. Not only were the surroundings beyond beautiful and peaceful, but the staff were extremely kind. Our server Alberto was very friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. The food was top quality, amazing presentation and absolutely delicious. Definitely going to make this a regular visit every time we come back!

Beautiful

I have to say the aesthetics of this place is amazing. I love the views and how the room made me feel. Imagine waking up early morning to the sun just streaming in and the fresh morning air. This place is honestly a wonderful couple’s getaway location. If you are the type to skip the over the top, super packed and overrated locations then this is the perfect place for you.
